 How to Get Admitted?  

The students desiring admission in TNAU for Masters or Doctoral degree program may submit their applications through the respective Embassies for program under which they wish to seek admission.
There are two streams through which foreign nationals could seek admission to various courses offered at TNAU.

I. The foreign nationals are admitted to TNAU on the recommendations of the Government of India. Such candidates should approach

through their Embassy for recommendation/nomination of their names for admission. However, they can also write to the university.Their admission will be subject to the production of Students' Visa and eligibility requirement of the University.

Government of India offers a number of scholarships and fellowships under Colombo Plan, Cultural Exchange, Technical Exchange, ITEC etc., and the information is available with our Indian Embassies in each country. All applications are required to be sponsored by their Government to

who in turn forward to the DARE for placement. Generally eight weeks are required for getting all clearances after the application reaches the Director, Department of Agricultural Research & Education, Krishi Bhavan, New Delhi-110 001, India.

II. Candidates sponsored by their countries are admitted to TNAU. They have to pay Institutional Economic Fee of US$ 4000 per annum plus a semester fee of US$125/-per semester, accommodation fee of US$30/-per flat per month (to be shared by 2 or 3 students) and actual water and electricity charges. Their applications can be sent, in the prescribed form, directly by their Government or Embassy in India to

 Documents required for Admission

a. The prospective candidate should be a farm graduate who has studied a minimum of FOUR years duration (eight semesters) in their UG program. Candidates possessing degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, Agricultural Engineering, Forestry and Food Science and Nutrition are eligible.

b. They have to submit the transcript along with their course outline and syllabus.

c. Visa requirement : The selected candidates should obtain a Student VISA if they are selected for Masters program and a Research VISA if they are selected for Doctoral program. Candidates after arriving Coimbatore are expected to report to the police authority of the city.
