Research paper in Horticulture from all State Agricultural Universities and Research Stations from Kashmir to Kanyakumari is received.
SIH has got 58 annual members, 206 Life members and 86 Institutional members. From 2000 the articles and Research Papers are received in floppy with a hard copy.
As a policy, all the authors of his articles and papers should be a member of the association. The major revenue for the association is the membership collected (Annual Rs. 250/-, life membership Rs. 1500/-, for institutions one year subscription Rs.750/-).
The Associate Editor along with Department Heads sits and selects the articles for the issues. Then they were grouped as to the respective Departments, Fruits/Vegetables/Flower crops/Spices and Plantation/Medicinal and Aromatic Plants and send for through scrutiny and editing by the staff members.
