EXTENSION

In the process of lab to field/industry, the college is transferring farm implements, equipment, post harvest equipment, energy gadgets and agri-based technologies to farmers, rural mass and agri based industries through various demonstrations, exhibitions, trainings, publications, etc.

Agricultural Processing

Demonstrations, exhibitions and trainings are conducted to popularize the gadgets and technologies developed in the department of Agricultural Processing in collaboration with the Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), developmental departments and non-government voluntary organizations (NGOs and SHGs).

Farm Machinery and Power

Information about farm implements and other technologies developed by the department are disseminated to the farmers and other clientele groups through the demonstration, training, exhibitions, field days and publications.

Bioenergy

The information about various renewable energy gadgets is taken to the end users through extension activities of Bioenergy department through from line demonstrations, multi-location trails, entrepreneurship programmes, seminars, short courses, etc. Training are conducted to impart knowledge on renewable energy technologies, to officers, unemployed graduates, field workers, Non-Government Organizations and farmers.

Soil and Water Conservation Engineering

Training programmes are offered on soil and water conservation technologies such as drought prone area programme, drip and sprinkler irrigation, soil conservation & moisture measurement, etc. Consultancy services are offered in the areas of micro irrigation, greenhouse cultivation and watershed development. Technology demonstration on roof water harvesting, in-situ rain water harvesting in agricultural lands, fertigation technique, etc. are also carried out.
