The campus is situated in Coimbatore, South India. The city enjoys lovable weather throughout the year except in April. The average maximum and minimum temperatures are 17-23°C in winter and 29-35°C during summer. The city is well connected by air and rail with all major cities of India.

The college offers four-year degree programme in B.Tech. (Food Process Engineering) and Masters and Doctoral programmes in the field of Agricultural Processing, Farm Power and Machinery, Bio Energy and Soil and Water Conservation Engineering. These courses are offered with well-balanced curriculum under erudite and interactive faculty with multi-disciplinary approach. The college provides state of art laboratory and library facilities for hands on training to the students to keep them abreast with the latest trends in technical development.

The college was accredited by Accreditation Board of Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), the supreme body of Ministry of Agriculture, Government of India.
