                                                                       EXTENSION
                        Information about farm implements and other technologies developed by the
     department are disseminated to the farmers and other clientele groups through the following
     channels.

 

  

DEMONSTRATION:
Working of implements and machinery are demonstrated in farmers field to convince them and also familiarize them with the operating techniques. Package of implements suitable for different crops are demonstrated to the extension functionaries of the state department of agriculture and NGO’s.

  

        

 


 

TRAINING:
The following trainings are conducted regularly.
    1.Five days training program for farmers on operation and maintenance of power tiller and matching implements.
    2.Twenty days training program for school drop-outs on repair maintenance and operation of power tiller and matching implements.
    3.Trainings are conducted for officials from different organizations on different aspects of farm machinery.

EXHIBITIONS:
        Recent development of the department are show cased in major exhibitions conducted in the city. Attractive pavilion is laid out during farmer’s day to display all major implements developed.

 

 
 
 

FIELD DAYS:

            The complete set of machinery for mechanization
  of a specific crop is demonstrated during field days
  conducted in collaboration with different organizations.

 

PUBLICATIONS:

Handouts, folders and booklets on all equipments    developed and released by the department are distributed to
the farmers.
           Information including photographs of all important implements developed by the department is brought out in digital format in CD.
