                Department of Farm Machinery is engaged in research towards              
          development of  machinery and equipment to suit different crops,     THRUST AREAS
          soil and agro-climatic conditions, farm size as per the requirement           
          of farmers.                                                                                     SCHEMES

                 Both basic and applied research towards profitable and              RELEASED IMPLEMENT          

          sustainable farm mechanization is carried out. Equipments are
          designed to reduce the drudgery of operation and at the same
          time improve the quality and productivity.

                 The schemes are funded through ICAR, CSIR, and other
          institutions. The post graduate and Ph.D scholars do research under
          the guidance from the staff of the department. Most of the
          fundamental research are carried out by these scholars. Applied
          research directed towards specific problems is carried out
          under the research schemes.
